We are given very few tools to learn how to manage our inner lives in healthy ways.
These have helped me: talking to people in safe environments, writing my feelings and thoughts until they run out of juice, learning to question what I perceive as reality - sometimes the real downer is my interpretation of what's happening, letting go of expectations of specific outcomes - and accepting what happens sometimes it's even better, learning to be more compassionate with myself, getting enough sleep, getting treatment for low testosterone - I'm 45 - I had no idea how dramatically hormones affect mood.
I want to escape reality.
