I want to eat things that are not food
Sometimes when I am tired, and a bit hungry, I will have these split-second imaginings of eating random things in the vicinity. By "eating" I don't mean cutting up and chewing; I just mean popping them in my mouth, or slurping them up like a vacuum.
I recently imagined slurping up the cursive letters on a street sign like spaghetti. A few seconds ago I looked down at my cat curled up asleep, and she looked so cute and lumpy I wanted to gulp her up like a muffin. Just to name two examples. Others include pencils, books, soda bottles, small children, light-bulbs, birds out the window, and paper money.
