So what should we do with all the poor neglected dogs? You know law says anything not adopted should be murdered in cold blood right? At least thats the rule in America. How do you THINK neglected dogs become that way in the first place? These are completely domesticated creatures reliant upon humans. Humans created them. Neglected dogs are caused by irresponsible people.
What should we do with the poor neglected dogs? Prevent them in the first place. Spay/Neuter kind of has to be in place, so, make it required by law, unless someone wants to go through a licensing process to keep an intact dog. Require a sizable fee for that privilege. That can partly fund shelters.
We wouldn't need to euthanize homeless animals if people wouldn't let their intact dogs run loose, or mindlessly create excessive litters. The dummies in the world have to be educated and regulated! People have to keep an eye on their dipshit neighbors to stop animal neglect.
What's also sad are the dumb people just looking for a pet that go buy a friggin' specific breed of dog, usually from anybody out there. That's stupid! Adopt, don't shop.
I can't think of places off the top of my head, but there are counties or cities in the U.S. that have in fact greatly reduced the numbers of homeless dogs in their area so much so that they have to import adoptable dogs from states that are still overflowing with tons of dogs. The smarter states with better economies and effective regulations have to help out the dumber U.S. states that can't or won't get their shit together to deal with a preventable problem. Darn it!
Let's see it would take less than 15 years, one generation, to take care of this problem. Spay/Neuter, education, be very firm with the idiots out there!!! Don't let idiots get pets! I mean, like oh, you work 9 hours/day six days a week? You want a German Shepherd puppy to stay in your studio apartment all the time? You get home at what? 9pm? Okay, that's an example of a moron that should NOT be allowed to have a dog.
The moron that wants to breed a variety of cute dogs in their dumpity doo trailer to make a buck at the flea market on the weekend? Uh, *NO* This person shouldn't be permitted to have ANY dogs.
The dipshit that gets one, two, three, or more dogs for their kid, thinking that the kid is going to be fully responsible for the care of the dogs? Uh, no! I mean it's okay only if the parent has realized that they've got to cover the food, vet, and all that too, if their kid loses interest. No, you can't throw your dogs in the backyard because you all are too busy blah blah blah. Wait, I will be ecstatic if they even have a big fenced yard!!!!
