As with all things in today's society, what I or you may find normal, others will not and see it as wrong or taboo. And I must admit, I'm shocked I haven't seen any negative comments about this one.
I think you shouldn't feel like you've done something horribly wrong. Blood letting is something that is practiced by more people than I can count, but you don't hear much about it because according to the 'normal people' of society its not 'normal' or its 'wrong' or a 'sin' or whatever negitve word you want to use. I think its also an aphrodisiac. Just something about it that feels just 'wrong' enough that it sends the tingles to all the right areas. :-)
As for thinking you may have contracted a disease, it is possible, but if you cleaned your cut after, then the chances are slim if she had anything. But its always wise to make sure, in the future, if you do it again, to ask the other person if they have anything, and dont feel like you're being rude, its for both your and their protection.
Well, I'm glad to see someone has something intelligent and helpful to say about this. You're definitely right about the safety part. Would be a good idea to be careful in the future.

Anyway, that's my two cents. :-)
