Did you pay for the furniture, and can you prove that?
If you're not married and the furniture is yours and in a place you own or rented, then feel free to take your possessions wherever you want.
If she's as self-centered as you say, she'll probably piss and moan and whine, but that's irrelevant.
If the furniture is in her apartment or house, then you need to be careful. It would be wise to talk to your local police about what might happen if you entered her home to remove your things.
