I suppose there is nothing abnormal in wanting something. Being a house wife or even a wife has never appealed to me. I have always prided myself on being a independent working single mum. I wanted to set my daughter a good example that if you want something you go out and earn it. However by the same token I believe that all mums are working mums,being a mum/parent is a job itself and should be celebrated and work does not suit all parents and their circumstances.
I have always wanted my own acheivements and not to hide behind my partners, and who is to say that your future wife is not going to have this view.
I know I am getting a bit off topic here but I suppose it is a similar thing. I hate it when married/partnered mums are called stay at home mums or home makers but single parents who don't work are seen as shirkers and scroungers. xx
