Yes, it's normal--it's somewhat of a phenomenon, actually, that many people have many theories about. However, it just seems like many women tend to gravitate toward the "bad boy" type of person. Oddly enough, often it even seems they respond better to abuse and mistreatment than to a "nice guy" attitude.
That is not universal, however, and it is likely a culmination of experiences and upbringing which spark those types of feelings or actions.
But sadly, it is normal. And coming from a nice guy, it can certainly be frustrating! :)
