  • A cat scratching me hurts a lot, and hurts more than a dog scratching me, try wetting a cat by force, when it scratches you it's going to frigging hurt.

    • Wetting a cat by force? Do you mean throwing water on it?

If you're going to throw water on a cat, I think it's fair enough that it would scratch you.

      • Yeah, that's exactly what I mean, and willing to scratch me for picking it up, I lock the cat in a position as it struggles and put it down so it doesn't scratch me.

    • So...

The companionship, and affection my cat gives are worth more than gold to me.

    • Cats only scratch if you provoke them or it happens to be an agressive cat. I've never been around a cat that scratched a lot and why would you wet a cat by force ?!

      • I wash my cat, and trim his claws; it's no big deal.

      • I wouldn't say that I get the cat wet by force, but I give him baths in the tub. I usually put on a bathing suit, and get in the tub with him, because it's easier, and less stressful for my cat that way.

      • I wouldn't, cats don't like getting wet.

            • Well, sometimes it's absolutely necessary to give a cat, or any animal a bath. I give my cat a bath when he needs it, and it not really a big deal for me. Some people send their cats to a groomer rather than bathe their cats themselves.

My cat doesn't really scratch, or bite a lot, but to be completely honest it doesn't really bother me. Everyone has different experiences, and feelings about this sort of thing.

Some people are dog people, some are cat people, and some are non-animal people. To be honest I tend to not be able to understand non-animal people on a deep level, because animals are a big thing for me. It's like something I'll probably never be able to understand, or relate to the person about at all.

... and some people are just straight up animal people. I would say that I'm both a dog, and cat person. I'm pretty much an animal person all around.

              • I'm a non-animal person because animals tend to shit, stinking up your house. There's no way I'll be owning a dog any time soon. Even the posh dogs, you feed them and the food comes out, it gets disgusting and you regard it as filthy.
