I've never been interested in relationships or you-know-what

I never have. It just never really came to me. I'm always being asked, "Do you think that guy is cute?!" And I tell them, "Average looks." They don't get offended or anything but look at me like I don't even know anything about this kind of thing. I'm not saying I'm a cold person or anything, everyone considers me a very warm and caring, happy and enthusiastic person, I just don't like serious relationships or boyfriend and girlfriend sort of things. Let me tell you one thing, though, I have had some times where I'm interested in those kind of things, but they never really got to the extreme. I'm in my 20's already and I still wonder why I'm not interested in relationships or sexuality. Is this normal??

  • You may just be asexual. It's a lack of interest in having sex. Look it up, you'll see that others feel the same as you do.

  • Some people are asexual...you can find out tons of info online and may even be able to find a group you can discuss your feelings with. While not as common as some of the other sexual orientations trust me you are not alone, one of my closest friends is asexual and she is perfectly happy with her life (espeically if she has a good book lol).

  • Well, I'm 18. Never been in a relationship, not interested in one. Even if a guy is interested in me I get bored easily. Never really had a crush on anyone. Meh, I'm happy!

  • the same was for me before i met my bf...i was young and just wanted to have fun hanging out with my friends for an ice cream or a movie.i was still naive but time goes on and we all grow up.our interests change and you will change too one day. you just have to find the one who makes u fall in love

  • I was like that before except for the sexual part. I just found it was a waste of time and just end up being more drama than anything else. I met my girlfriend and everything changed. I guess you just have to meet that special someone who will change you like it happened to me.

  • Maybe because you've never let yourself experience that stuff, or perhaps you're waiting for something extraordinary. Give it a try anyway, and let things take their own way. And no, it's not very normal.

  • Sounds like you have low self confidence
