Who you are is truly still there, it never goes away, but it sometimes get buried under a ton bullshit. Basically, once you stop caring about fitting in, impressing those around you, and trying to be someone you're not is when you'll go back to being who you are naturally.
Either work hard to build enough courage, confidence, and bravery to say how you feel, like what you like, and be your own person without feeling the need to fit in or see a therapist to help you do all that was mentioned.
