I've invented an alcohol that tastes like water

Do you think it'd be popular? It involves rum, water, and a bunch of ingredients that render the rum flavorless.

  • Sounds like a mixed drink that I wouldn't pay for.

  • Really, what does water taste like?

  • Isn't the idea of drinking alcohol to enjoy the taste and relax?

I wouldn't want booze that was completely tasteless. Even bland vodka has it's own flavor. Why get rid of taste?

Taste is what makes every drink unique.

        • Yeah, ok. Gin is maybe one of the most horrible things mankind has ever invented. Drinkable perfume.

          • Actually some people dissolved quinine in water and called it tonic and combined it with gin to make it palatable 998 years ago.

  • Pretty sure it would get banned as people would abuse it, given it tastes non-alcoholic enough to fool people...
