We're of a similar vintage on IIN (aside form being the same age in real life), and it always makes me feel like I've been here a long time when people who joined around the same time take time away. It's very sad to hear that you've not been treated well by some people here, because you don't deserve it at all.
I hope your temporary leave is both temporary and productive, and I hope when you return you will come back to a place which is kinder to you :) You shall be missed.
