I feel like most stories where the OP is accused of being a troll are not questions where the OP is looking for a solution to a problem but them just spouting off negative opinions. I could be wrong, but that is the impression I get.
I also feel that while commenters should give the OP the benefit of the doubt the community has a responsibility to not abuse that trust. Just as people can troll with mean comments, people can troll with fake stories and there certainly is a lot of fake stories. No commenter wants to pour their detailed thoughts into a response to an OP who is just acting "for the lulz". I suppose what I'm trying to say is that it isn't just the troll commenters that are to blame but the trolls who make the troll posts which create an atmosphere of reasonable suspicion.
Thank you, and I'm glad not to be personally responsible although it's a shame that you're leaving at all. We're of a similar vintage on IIN (aside form being the same age in real life), and it always makes me feel like I've been here a long time when people who joined around the same time take time away. It's very sad to hear that you've not been treated well by some people here, because you don't deserve it at all.
I hope your temporary leave is both temporary and productive, and I hope when you return you will come back to a place which is kinder to you :) You shall be missed.
