Is it possible you're love-shy? It could also be possible that love-shy men have had a crush on you, but couldn't allow themselves to express their love. (I got love-shyness with my Aspberger's.)
If you have a look that people go for, you still have plenty of hope in finding someone who loves you... If you still have the look at middle age, then you can embrace in being a cougar. :-D
