I've been playing among us quite literally all day. Is this normal?

I also never got the point of among us... I've never played it, but I did see one youtube video about it and it's enough to understand.
It's a silly, 2D game that to me seems more similar to a discount chat room, than a game. But the basic concept is you got one side - "crewmembers" and the other side - "impostors" and the idea is for the crew members to find and kill all impostors and the impostors have to kill all crew members.

But there is no detail, no depth, no plot, no nothing! I can't believe this is taking the world by storm.
Then again, so did flappy bird... so I guess I should learn to expect insanity like that.

To be honest, the IIN chat seems kinda similar to the game. Often the discussions are pure nonsense. Just nobody dies... maybe on the inside, but no actual death.
