It's not abnormal, but it'll make you look like you just forgot to put your name on it before you printed it. Which could result in you getting a slightly lower mark on the assignment, since whoever is marking it will be thinking you're careless and they're more likely to pick up evidence of carelessness and mark you down for it if they're expecting it.
I type everything on the computer and then write my name in pencil.
