I think we should revive the 1920s in the 2020s

The fashion and design from that decade was plain awesome, IMO.
Art-Deco, Flappers, Mafia-style, etc. I seriously hope we revive it on the 100th anniversary of the 1920s.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • I’d liked that. I’m getting sick of the 90s nostalgia.

    • I used to be sick of 80s nostalgia in the 2000s. Now when 90s nostalgia has taken over in the 2010s, I have started to appreciate the 80s again. The 20-year span will probably keep going and in the 2020s, everyone will be talking about the 2000s instead. I can already see traces of it coming.

  • Yeah it was so awesome back then ( I mean I wasn't there but it would still be awesome).

    • Yeh, no kidding. It did seem awesome and fun, the booze, bathtub gin, the speakeasies, dances like the Charleston, and those good-time flapper girls, who some were pretty hot. People no longer acted all uptight and conservative anymore like they did in the 19th century.

  • I dunno man, prohibition killed a lot of people. I'd be down for some 50's aesthetics though.

    • Yes, some of that bootlegged alcohol was tainted and poisonous.

    • Flapper girls were awesome. So were all the bootlegged booze and the speakeasies, and all that jazz.

  • Only if I get to smoke reefer with jazz musicians.

  • I do look good in a zoot suit.

  • I'm down... I look good in a suit. Then let's bring back the golden years of rock. Loud music, hot-rods, greaser hairstyles and aviator shades. What more could you want...

    • You're talkin bout the 50s, not the 20s, which was also a cool, fun age. People sure had more good times, fun, and style when the economy was better; in the roaring 20s, and then the economy at another all time high in the 50s. When things got shitty like during the depression in the 30s, people were obviously too busy struggling to survive to be able to worry about style and having fun.
