Get ready for a barrage of atheist Hatred. Anyway, yes, the U.S. is very secular, but it was founded on the idea of religious freedom. Several of the declaration signers were atheist, heavy drinkers, and/or regularly hung out with prostitutes. That last thing was viewed a little differently back then by the way.
Christianity is about living your personal life in a way that you think God would find pleasing and that would display a good example to others for Him. Not forcing others by law to live how you think they should. Christianity started in the Roman Empire, which was one of the most "secular" societies that ever existed.
I think the West nowadays is one of the least Christian place on Earth
