I think that racism is way to unevenly addressed

  • Please, help me out here. What is racist about the fairy tale that "Baa Baa Black Sheep" comes from? A black sheep is a rarity, but not, to the best of my knowledge, a derogatory term because of it. The "black sheep" of a family has absolutely nothing to do with race.
What is racist about "Stand behind the yellow line"? It is just a way to control crowd flow and insure that the person at the window/counter has a bit of privacy. Your examples make no sense to me, so they pretty much invalidate your whole hypothesis.

    • Those were real examples of political correctness gone mad.

In 80's Britain, there was some campaign to ban "Baa Baa Black Sheep" because apparently it was racist. Now a lot of people are forced to use other variants like "Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep" or "Baa Baa Pink Sheep". More recently, the Atlanta subway had to change the "yellow line" to golden line because of backlash from the Asian community.

      • Ok, I understand, now. Political correctness is a very horrible thing in my mind, much like the days when every kid on a team got a "participation" trophy; there were no winners or losers. Boy, that prepares children for the real world, doesn't it? Bunch of fucking shit, all of it.
