I think some people are off their rockers?

Some people just get penalised because they tried a thing or two. That's not fair. There should be a hearing.

What do you mean by they tried a thing, or two?

    • Say they did do illegal free fight or efforts to throw light on something though they are not police. Maybe they tried drugs just to know how it feels like or trolled online or any other thing that would of course do its harm but not as much to others as to themselves. It could be anything even theft if they just tried it and the main reason wouldn't be them harming anyone. No murder or sexual aussault or any other deed that clearly has bad intentions.

If the thing, or two you tried is breaking the law it's not that you're being penalized, or singled out, but rather that you were caught, and have to pay your debt to society. Thievery isn't a victimless crime.

        • Breaking the norm, breaking the law. I know stealing belongings from others isn't a deed without a victim. I'm bringing it up because in said circumstances it's not intended to strongly and intentionally harm anyone. The thief of course would know that he is causing damage to property and maybe the loss of hardly earned belongings, but in that case he wouldn't want to clean out the whole house in greed, but perhaps only steal the microwave to sell it and pay a debt, only to realise this was really bad, worse than they'd think, and perhaps even report themself for it too. Maybe they just stood outside tried to lockpick a door or open a window and decided to not do it.

Now take that thief and some other guy who cleans out the house and also shoots the owner in the leg or somewhere else or destroy some window or the door to get in and out.

Now breaking the law is in no case good but I think we can agree that the latter is worse.

The thing is that the first guy in certain cases is treated like the latter which doesn't make any sense to me. They should consider things and give him a fair treatment.

Well, I personally hope that all thieves get caught.

            • They will, I'd bet on it. It's what people make of these opportunities of justice that will assign either a fair, a loose or a harsh treatment to those who steal though. We can only hope for the conscientiousness of those who believe to choose their fates.

I think if you're someone who benefits society and you get caught with a small sack of coke maybe they should take in consideration you are not a leach and are consistently working 5 days a week. Because u lock that guy up and give him a felony thats gonna effect businesses and people. Also you have to consider his kids could grow up without a dad and should analyze the effects of locking him up. I think if you go too far and make an example out of him you just have a disfunctional society. You see the outcome of drug war on poor neighborhoods in the USA. Also when they come out of prison they have PTSD and domt trust anyone. They cant get a decent job because theyre felons. And while they were locked up the role models their kids had were other drug dealers in their neighborhood.
