It was all about keeping the blood pure. It makes sense if you think about it but its very cruel. Where would we be right now if we selectively bred the smartest and strongest.
I perfer the current system. Let anyone have kids and the best and the brightest naturally float to the top of their respective circles and keeps the economy chugging along.
Genetic diversity allows for a greater diversity of skills and talents. Like how we beat nazi germanys "perfect race" in the Olympics.
