I got 3 different (scam) calls today calming that my ssn was being put on hold because of overdraft money with “the bank”, criminal activity with the “US Police” and because I owed money to “the government”. It was totally fake, but also annoyingly persistent so I googled it to triple check that it was, in fact, a scam.
Phone scams are dumb. If youre not expecting a call, dont answer. (I was expecting a job interview call today)
I think people who get scammed usually deserve it
