It's nice if you get A's in other subjects but admissions boards for highly reputable colleges will check you holistically outside of simply English and Math. 3. You're agreeing with me. Populations can refer to subgroups (in our case, they're split according to age demographics). If I was referring to half the human race, I would've said "the" entire population of men or "all men".
