I think living in a small house is good.

Well, I watch a lot of crime shows about serial killers, and other stuff like that, so, I course, it's made me a bit more, I guess you could say paranoid about certain stuff.

For example, I would never hitchhike, or pick up a hitchhiker,
and I wouldn't like, meet anyone off the internet, but of course, that's common sense.

Anyway,to get to the point, I live in a small house,
seriously, it only has one bathroom, three bedrooms, one kitchen and a small living room. I'm fine with that though, I don't really need a giant house to be comfortable.

Sometimes, I think that it's a good thing that I live in a small house because I wouldn't think that anyone would see it as a good place to rob, I mean, the house is very old, and not really all that nice looking. Just being honest.

What do you think?

(In case that was too long to read.)

I think that living in small homes
reduces the risk of robbery.

People rob your kind of houses more often because they think there are no burglar alarms and they are usually right.

A three bedroom house sounds average to me. It what the outside looks like that deters robbers.

But one kitchen! You are slummin it.

Living in your "small" house would be palatial to us. Our home, though also three bedrooms/2bath, is all of 53 feet long and at the widest, 15 feet.
It probably has the total space of your "small living room", though we do have 6'2" headroom throughout.
We basically have most everything you'd have in your house; a kitchen w/ range, fridge/freezer, microwave, etc. One nice bedroom w/ a queen sized bed and another with a huge triangle shaped bed forward, and a little one w/bunk beds, used mainly for storage. But we have one room you do not; the engine room. It has an engine for propulsion, a generator to make electricity and a bunch of other stuff like pumps, air conditioning units and lots of batteries.
We don't worry too much about "robbers" but perhaps a pirate or two could be a problem.
So enjoy your palace, but unlike a house, if we don't like our neighbors, we can just pull up the anchor and sail away.
Oh yeah, they say Zombies can't swim, so we'll be safe if they ever attack!

you call that small house! I live in a house with two bed rooms one washroom and a small kitchen. well, it really depends as to what the person gives importance to....
even for me the size of my house isn't a big deal and I'm loving living in it.. although their is no privacy, its disturbing when their is noise which is so common, and you have to stand every single thing the other person would do..
but still its fun living together in a small house and sharing almost everything, which might have not been the case if we lived in bigger house with more space to stay away from each other a.d have more privacy.

Perhaps it does reduce risk of crime. I feel the same way, but not for that reason. I just feel most comfortable in less lavish, less luxurious environments.

    • I live in a small city, so I've never really lived in rich places, but that's fine with me. I like the silence.

    • So do I. :)

But, I do like lots of windows; skylights are a bonus!

  • Well unless you live in a black neighborhood, i think you're safe. You know what's the difference between Batman and a black man? Batman can go into a convenience store without Robin'
