Sadly, that is the normal state for a whole lot of people, especially women. It shouldn't be, but it is.
It's your face, and you'll have it all your life. No one who reads IIN can tell you if it's objectively a pretty face or not, but that doesn't matter. What matters is how you feel about that face. Makeup's just a tool, not a magic wand. If you like your face better with makeup sometimes and without it other times, then that's how you should wear it.
Other people are going to tell you that you look "better" with makeup on because that's the societal norm for women. A made-up face is a typical face; a bare one is a little unusual. That doesn't mean it's ugly without makeup. It's just different. Makeup isn't always practical, so don't feel as though you have to draw your eyes on every day.
Make-up is like a cheat code for beauty. It's gonna make a girl look better.
Futhermore. If you are constantly wearing make-up, people are gonna get used to the 'face' you present. Deviance from the look will make people shiver.
