Ok, as you know trees can't talk. Actually, the poor tree wanted to tell the bird, "Come nest with me". But, since he couldn't say it, he ruffled his leaves to make pleasing sounds. He shaded the little bird's delicate feathers from the harsh glare of the sun, and he tried to make the bird feel at home.
Moral of the story. Don't let any old bird live in your branches. Woodpeckers will fuck you over every time.
