I don't know if it's this day and age (or maybe my own age) that's affecting this feeling but it's daily. I come across it on my commute into work when no one when wants to signal and shove their monstrous cars into a spot. Or when I'm at work and hear incessant chatter. Or when I watch people interact with others and being so self involved as to not even notice or care of others reactions. When did we all devolve into these inane self involved, unobservant, self serving and self important beings?

    Not everyone is like that you just tend to notice people like that because they get on your nerves. It is true though that in this day and age self-centeredness is becoming more prominent. I see where your coming from But I think it's a stretch to make this generalization about everyone, especially with rates of diagnosed depression and anxiety still very high.
