Imagine how much was opressed and outright burned back then-how could we even judge how many progresive thinkers there were AND how any idiots there were....and even though we don't outright burn books anymore for the most part, we still make it virtually impossible or plain completely unfavorable for publishing or making public an opinion these days. Think about it, we can get fired, fined, legally held responsible and so forth for our opinions...it's really sobering when you REALLY think about the consequences of speaking out in even the most "FREE SPEECH" nations. It NEVER goes without consequence. It never will...
I think American cluture sucks. Is it normal?
