I guess sometimes certain situations make it tough for one to get a VISA. Not all situations are the same. (Then again... it's hard to try to separate black and white. Some people that come here may not have the best of intentions. Can't tell what's the best decision. Is there only one? There must be a choice. Can't tell... What's the best... Being indecisive could really hurt. This is why I'm so annoying.) But I'd like to understand the different reasons/explanations. Also, you make a good point about trying to speak native tongue. Sometimes foreigners may have difficulty picking up a language right away, or they may be busy with other things, as you'd know. Then again, apparently there were some people who'd lived in the U.S. for 25 years, yet still had limited knowledge of English. Hm. If you meant something different... they can speak their native tongue in public, as well. If they're speaking directly to someone else... using English would definitely be preferable. In public, there are less regulations for language then there might be, in, say, a classroom or other moderated platform/place. I'm sure there are other factors to this, though. Well. If someone were to speak in English somewhere in a Spanish speaking country... I guess it's understandable. Although giving an effort to speak the native language would certainly be commendable and admirable, given the effort it must've took. Maybe there is less of an impact in the U.S.A because it's become quite the melting pot of cultures? Why does it feel different in two different locations...? Has English taken on the same kind of fare as America has had with the 'American Dream?' Hm... To end this; it's good that you try! I'm actually (kind of?) learning Spanish right now, ahahaha. I can't speak for Spanish speakers on a personal level, of course, but... I'm sure many of them are trying. (Not that you said they WEREN'T trying... Hm.) Thank you for your comment!
