If you did a bit of research, you would find that there are more than a few cultures that have raised their children in a communal way, historically. Your idea is not at all unique or silly, for that matter, but a very effective way of raising homogenized children that grow up to be integrated members of their communities, without a creative or independent thought.
I don't see why they wouldn't have a creative or independent thought...unless their upbringing brainwashes them. But brainwashing goes on to some extent in every upbringing.
I think all children should be brought up in a commune.
