It doesn't have anything to do with California. I live in New England, and do the same thing. ppls say I'm good too, russian, brittish, irish, indian, even funny speaking characters like King Julian from that panguins show. lol
BUt I also do SFX and beatbox, so the accents come natural. I'm glad I'm not the only one, cuz it cuz kind of random and akward at times.
But as advice; say you get practice! Its funny. I say that whenever people ask.
The strange thing is; I read in a brittish accent without even realizing it. it's even thicker if It's actually written in brittish (colour, behaviour, etc).
