I stopped drinking soda
Hey it's me TheBlindInquisitor and I've stopped drinking soda about three months ago.
There are many reasons why I stopped but for the most part it was for health reasons I honestly feel better.
Is this normal?

Actually just had a Mountain Dew because it's just so damn good with Chinese food! But yeah soda is the devil, and I was led into temptation.
Never really was much of a soda person. I more so like fruit juices. But once I found out that they were equally as bad as soda because of the sugar content and stripped nutrients, I started drinking sparkling water 1/2 and 1/2 with plain water. Nowadays, I usually only drink Fiji water or tap water. And yes, Fiji water is EXTREMELY pricey and ridiculous, but it is good shit.
i dont shoot heroin or drink soda
theres not too many other vices i can say that about
I will occasionally drink Coca-Cola, or Canada Dry ginger ale, but it's fairly rare for me. I mostly drink lots of water.
For me the only non based soda drinks I drink is cranberry juice or organic based drinks. For the most part I deal with water
I drink lots of water, but lately I bought some Cortas rosewater from online, and I add a teaspoon for flavoring.
I never have had soda before, so when I had beer for the first time, I burped through my nose. (I still do)
You won't last long with out it is like smoking you can't quit even if you want to.
Guess Im blessed.
I eat whatever I want.
But, my body only askes for the calories it uses.
I dont drink soda daily.
But I have my 4 favs in the beer fridge.
If I want an ice cold cola type drink.
I have one.
My health, its just fine.
Dropping soda is a good choice. I dropped it a few years ago and drank water instead. My body thanked me by losing weight. XD
Good for you getting healthy! This is a choice I made several years back and I haven't looked back. It should work wonders for your health given you drank a descent amount beforehand. I started drinking a shit ton of milk instead and now I like the flavor of milk so much I'm addicted haha.
I would die in 24 hours without soda. I put away about 5 or 6 cans of pepsi each day.
A bit of a gut but I am active so I am not some anguishing lard ass.
Put it this way - touching my toes while my legs are straight is no problem, nor is seeing my feet or "other" things.
My tastebuds are on a whole new level of fucked up, I can’t taste the sugar so soda is awful for me. Good for you though
Well, Mr theBlind, now you won't go blind from diabetes cause from drinking bubbly sugar water!
So you listened to health experts that said red meat was bad and you should eat chicken and white meats. Until they recently said chicken is just as bad.
Cool. I prefer to live and I like Diet Coke.
Da fuck mate? Chicken isn't bad and the evidence for red meat in moderation isn't good either. Pop is bad because of the extra calories that don't fill you up nearly as much as meat whuch make you succeptable to a calorie surplus. And in tern, weight gain and all the health impediments that result. If chicken was unhealthy, I would be dead by now lol.
I didn't say it, the "experts" did:
https://modernfarmer.com/2019/06/white-meat-just-as-bad-as-red-meat-for-cholesterol-finds-new-study/
This study did not prove chicken was bad, it only proved it had the same effect on cholesterol as red meat. Those are two very different things and I'll explain. Red meat has been demonized for its 'association' with heart disease however not a single study has directly linked it, there is only correlation studies. You also have to keep in mind that cholesterol is just one factor, an increase is cholesterol doesn't make a food 'bad' it is just one strike against it. And there is no perfect foods. Why chicken is good is because its high in protein and has a very low calroic density which helps achieve a healthy body composition. So for example, if you were to stop eating meat and switch to junk food, you would be relived of the small heart risk from cholesterol in meat, but exchanging that for far more SIGNIFICANT adverse effects that those less healthy foods have to offer. Your avoiding getting your finger pricked to get your arm cut off instead. Nutrition is not a black and white thing. I could make the case for and against every food in existence depending on context and specific factors about the individual.
Not sure how much you really care, but here is a video where a PHD in nutrition describes the problems with the research and puts things into perspective.
