  • I used to work the graveyard shift stocking at Target, and some of those people were real freaking morons.

To me you look like you're still in your twenties. I just think you take good care of your skin. 😊🌹👍🏻

One think about that sort of job is that it can really keep you in shape.

    • A good chunk of these gossipy chicks are seasonal workers. They'll most likely be gone by February.

Thank you! I usually make sure to use sunblock whenever I can.
      :)

      • Yeah, some women are so toxic.

... and another thing, a few years back I participated in a paid marketing research study for a self tanner back when I was still living in Las Vegas. There were two groups, the light to medium skinned group, and the medium to dark skinned group. I was in the light to medium skinned group, and although I was in my mid forties I was probably the only woman over 30 without significant sun damage. All the women my age had a lot of sun freckles, and some moles. Anyway, I remember this woman who must have had Body Dysmorphic disorder, because she was darker than my Colombian mother, and she referred to her arms as, "pasty". I kept my mouth shut, but I just thought, "damn, she must think I'm a ghost", but who cares what she thinks. Seriously, I was kinda low key concerned that she was on her way to developing skin cancer. I think some women have twisted notions of beauty, or their beauty standards are unhealthy.

Just talking about this stuff makes me wanna eat some avocado, and drink some bottled water. Have you ever made avocado chocolate mousse? OMG! It's amazing!

P.S. my mom, and dad met on the beach when he was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone, and she was on vacation. My dad is a blue-eyed, blond Anglo-American guy, and my mom is a brunette Colombian woman. They both have sun freckles on their backs, and shoulders. When I was a kid I couldn't figure out why I was so different from them, now I know it's cause I'm kind of a semi-nocturnal sort of sunscreen wearing at the beach type of person. 😉💓🌹👍🏻

        • Getting paid to use products sounds fun. Yeah, it definitely sounds like she had something wrong with her.

I feel like most women have their own notions of beauty and they take those notions and project it on other people. Over the years, women have said things to me along the lines of,

"Why don't you get your hair brows done?"

          "You'd look better with makeup"

"You'd look more Puerto Rican with a tan"

          "You should straighten your hair"

They never tell men to change their appearance. It's always other women they do it to. I never understood why they insist on this toxic nonsense.

I haven't had that. If it tastes anything like chocolate chip zucchini bread, then I'd definitely eat it!

Keep up the good skin routine! I'm guessing you probably have a few people envying your skin and scratching their heads wondering "how does she do it?" XD

          • Thanks, I remember I used to know this one girl I met at church of all places, and she just always tired me out. Like, some women are straight up draining. I remember this chick telling me that I should get a tan, and I told her that I had sun damage in my left eye so my doctor had told me to stay out of the sun. Then she says I should go get a spray tan, and I'm just annoyed, "thinking I'm not paying good money to get myself dyed orange", nevermind the fact that I have zero desire to get a tan either way.

One of the traits of codependency is offering up unsolicited advice, and opinions. Now I'm so aware of that red flag, but oftentimes the women who do that are so overly nice, and friendly that it can be disarming, and then next thing I know I feel like crap, and can't quite put my finger on why I feel so awful. Then women wonder why some other women prefer not to be around them. Of course there are codependent guys as well, but there's something about codependent women, and that awful toxicity. Ugh.

Chocolate chip zucchini does sound quite intriguing. 😊👍🏻

    • Isn't stocking shelves a typically male job,? It means lifting heavy packs etc.?

      • I dunno, unloading the truck, or throwing the truck, is something mostly dude do, but anyone can stock shelves. Also, it's mostly dudes working in the back stockroom with those big high shelves.

        • Yeah sexism and gender discrimination just as I expected. And they then ask why is then still a pay gap
