  • The buddists say to visualize what you want to have happen in your life. There is truth to this. The power of the mind. When you visualize it, you could actually be provoking it to happen.

    • Just because Buddists said it doesn't make it true, they don't know everything.

    • So your saying if he imagines people dying there's a chance they might actually die?

      • well not necessarily, but when you visualize something over and over like that, you tiptoe more and more to that becoming reality. Google it.

        • Googling something doesn't make it real...I'm sure I'd get a few hits if I googled "Sasquatches raping unicorns," but EVERYONE knows Sasquatches would never do that, never.

          • it's a buddist philosophy. Don't be so closed minded into thinking that only you have all the answers and every other culture believe fiction.

            • Hey, I didn't mean to be rude. My apologies.

I actually wasn't mocking the philosophy of Buddhism; I was mocking the philosophy of googling- internet is full of random crap and people who believe in slenderman. I actually studied Buddhism and Buddhist art quite extensively back when I was an art history major- it's a lovely perspective on the universe.

        • I visualised myself Googling it and it said it was bollocks.

      • I think he means something along the lines of this:

Picture someone who calls themselves worthless, stupid, (insert any other negative adjective here.

If they call themselves stupid (or any of the other options), they're more likely to think that of themselves.

If I think about killing Mister Example all the time, it's probably going to become almost a thing of addiction or habit. If I constantly think about killing him, I am more likely to do so simply because it is a desire of mine. I almost see it as a sort of self-brainwashing, personally.

A more everyman type example would be this. I think about eating the leftover hot wings all day at work. When I get home, I'm probably gonna eat the hot wings, yes?

Just my two cents on it.
