  • I've read that getting too much sleep is just as bad for your heart as not enough. But, that's only true if you're not getting enough exercise during the time you're awake. If you are getting a good excersise session in at least 3 times a week, then getting 12 hours sleep every night is actually very good for your heart because you're giving yourself even more of a chance to heal up and repair yourself between workouts. Just don't sleep that much if you're living a sedentary lifestyle, because then you're really wasting away your heart. I think that's what those websites that say too much sleep is dangerous are talking about. Just get a good heart conditioning excersise routine in at least several times a week, than have as long of nights sleep as you like.

    • Who'd give me a minus point for saying that excersise is good for your heart?

        • Thanks. And thanks for giving me a point back. It's true that sleeping too much is only harmful for your heart if you're living a couch potato lifestyle. If you're active and excersising a lot, too little sleep is worse than too much because you're not giving your body enough time to recuperate.

          • I don’t workout. I get 5-6 hrs of sleep when i have to go to school but i usually get around 10 hrs of sleep when theres no school. Is that still okay? Will that affect my health?
