I feel your pain, OP. Probably because seeing it rubs salt in a personal wound.
There are a lot of human wounds we have to be careful about not rubbing salt into. Sadly, the wound of loneliness isn't one of them. Even though it's one of society's biggest health hazards. It's just not sexy enough for people to consider it worthy of 'awareness raising' efforts.
