I see bug shadow?

Ok, so every once in awhile unexpectily I will see something like a bug shadow fly past me. Sometimes they are big and sometimes really tiny.It always freaks me out and i know that nothing is there,it is just my mind playing tricks on me. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it normal?

I agree with the rest- get your eyes examined please. My mother-in-law has "floaters" that look like shadows, as do a few other people I know.

My grandmother also had them. They are all for different reasons, some quite serious, so please get your eyes checked.

I'd suggest checking your blood pressure as well, sometime floaters are bp related.

I have it also. My eye doctor says they are called floaters. They won't go away. They are inside your eyes. Harmless really.

I've been seeing these all my life since I was a little kid. Do you notice that you can affect their movement sometimes by your own eye movements? I'm pretty sure what are are seeing is out of focus tiny dust particles floating across your eye. That's all. No big deal. You can make it happen almost anytime by sortof staring at anything and then using your ... i don't know how to describe it, but just focus your attention on some area that's a bit away from where your eyes are pointed at. You will probably start seeing little dots and lines - all fient and out of focus, that are sort of gently floating around. And your eye movements affect them. It's just dust. No worries.

I do not mean to try to frighten you, but I think you should have your eyes checked, just in case this is something wrong with your eyes. A relative of mine had what she described as fleeting black shadows here and there in her eyesight and went to an eye doctor and found out that she had retinal bleeding. Not saying this is what you have, but it should not be ignored. IF that is what you have, it can be fixed, but it will get worse if you ignore it. Better safe than sorry when it comes to your eyes.

i have the same thing, it's because i smoke but for me it's right in the middle of my vision, it's a little black spot that never goes away. It's a dead part of my eye from too many cigarettes.
definately not normal though, go get your eyes checked.

This happens too me as well. Very rarely though. I didn't know smoking could be too blame. Now I have more of a reason too quit.
