I really really want a daughter

Is it normal that I really want a daughter? I'm a 25 year old man, I've lived a rather intense, crazy life and have just begun to clean up and change. I very much want to meet a nice girl and have a daughter. I think about this constantly. All I want in life is a little girl, I would give the world to her and I would love her so much. I think I would never do anything wrong ever again. I just really want one, she would be my best friend I would take such good care of her. My friends think I'm crazy but it's all I want in this world.

Anyone who thinks they will be best friends with their child doesn't understand the concept of parenting.

I was very happy when we discovered my wife was pregnant with our daughter. I wouldn't have been upset if it had turned out to be a boy, but my preference was for a girl.

Girls can be challenging in their own way, but boys can be a total pain in the backside - I know, because I was one.

Keep working on sorting your life out, and you might get your wish.

However, I do think it would be unwise to get a wife or partner pregnant in the expectations of having a girl. You should only make this leap into the unknown if you are prepared to have and love a son.

There are ways in which you can supposedly swing the odds in favor of one gender or the other. Some ideas in the links below. However, I have to say that, while I do wear close-fitting briefs (which supposedly favors female-producing sperm), I am absolutely certain that the semen that produced our daughter was released deep in my wife's vagina, and she did have an orgasm (both of which supposedly makes a boy more likely).

You might be able to tilt the odds a little, but it remains a toss of a coin.

I find it utterly endearing that you want to have a child so badly ❤️. I love kids too. I often imagine what my kids will look/act like. I can't wait to raise them and watch them grow. However, I'm only 18 years old, I'm a college student, I've never worked a day in my life, I have no idea how to do any chores, and I don't have a husband. I want a kid (or six 😂), but I'm not at all ready yet. As a solution, I pressured my sister (who is a 28 year old married doctor) to have a kid. Now I can have a kid with out having one 😁 (lol Jk she wanted a baby). Anyway, my point being is that you need to make sure that you are ready to have a child, to raise them, teach them, argue with them when they are wrong, and be there for them 24/7. Being a parent is the most demanding job in the world, yet it is also the most satisfying. 💕 One more thing is that, although it is wonderful to want a daughter, there is no guarantee that you will have a daughter (unless you adopt). You need to be all right with the idea of having a son. I understand your reasoning behind not wanting to have a son, but it's all about how and where you raise your children. You should look up nature vs. nurture. I also recomend the film babies. It's a psychological documentary all about nature vs. nurture, and it full of cute babies from around the world! The film does have slight nudity though due to one of the babies they filmed being born into an African tribe where they don't wear much to cover up. I also recommend getting a pet for the time being. They are sort of like kids in a way. Pets love you unconditionally and you can love them. Last but not least, you sound like an amazing guy and I'm sure you will make an even better father☺️❤️☺️. ~Best Wishes~

I sort of always wanted a daughter but never had one. It's just as well. All my boys were a pain in the ass. Since my natural disposition is to be a pain-in-the-ass, I knew just how to captive their interests and desires.

All three became highly motivated professionals with successful careers. Of course, the extended family gives the credit to my dearly departed wife. Actually, they might be 50% right.

"Daughters are blessing of God" , Only lucky people get them :))
Ofcourse, it's normal. Who doesn't wants Baby? especially Daughter?? Although they're considered burden in some backward countries, and people only want son, but still most are dying to have a baby whether it's a boy or girl. So it's perfectly normal if you want a baby daughter.
I hope you find yourself a caring, loving partner and have a daughter with them.

First of all fix your life and hit the gym. Dont be socially awkward and then try to start a family when youre both ready.

What if she turns out physically or mentally disabled?.. or turn out to be the opposite of a cute little sweetheart who adores you?? would you still show unconditional love then? thinking your gonna be a great dad is different from actually and consistently being one.. are you sure it's in your wiring? think about it first without lying to yourself.

good to see someone with parental wishes in these days. It just seems that no one wants to have a family anymore

It's just I've been to jail a few times, was always in trouble as a kid, in and out of foster homes and shelters, I want to give someone the love I wish I had but I am intensely worried about having a son. I'm the only man still alive in my family, they were all outlaws, gunslingers and I do not want a son to perpetuate that.

be honest, your reasons for wanting a daughter are very much selfish. what, it won't be enough for you to have a gorgeous and loving wife? you also need to fulfill your bordering on incestuous fantasies and stroke your fragile ego by having a beautiful little girl who will love and trust you unconditionally and over who you can be creepily overprotective? you secretly desire that boys her age and older will lust after her as you relish the fact that you get to watch her body and mind transform in wonderful days through the process of puberty? I'm sorry but all you should be wanting is a healthy and happy child regardless of gender. You have no control over whether you get a boy or girl so why not just leave that up to fate and focus on being the best man, husband, and father you can possibly be?

I always wished to get my hands on someone like you that talks shit over the Internet. Maybe one day, hopefully. What you said is highly inaccurate and you don't know me from a hole in the wall, nor do you know my reasons. Fuck off now.

When you have a kid and it's a girl, the parents call her their daughter.

While a sudden and intense urge to have children around this general age range is often a characteristic attributed to increases in estrogen and hormonal shifts in female development, there are many emotionala and societal factors that contribute to this desire in males as well. As a nearly 25 year old male my self I can say I am not currently in a position to father a child, as I don't live where she could have citizenship, nor do I have income, I do see this as a potential next step. I understand though the confusion and need for affirmation you may have around these feelings as this is not a common wish men articulate. I would hypothesise that many of us have such wishes though out of this same worry they are left unexpressed. Thank you for this insightful post and I wish peace and good fortune to you and your inevitable daughter to be.
