I really like a guy but he rarely texts me first? normal? (please read)

He has text me first a few times but I've had to do it more than half.

What happens is weird. I'll text him or he texts me and we will text back and forth for HOURS but then he says good night and doesnt text me for days! The texts will be good too. He asks about my life, asks deep questions, compliments me, talks about his life and his goals and it's just a lovely conversation back and forth but it ends and now its 2 days and he hasnt texted me after the good night, I'll talk to you tomorrow text. What gives???

Is this normal? He seems to like me and when we text, he does text back without much delay. I cant figure him out and I really like him and he seems into me but now when he doesnt text.

We've been talking for less than 2 weeks now. Also fyi hes not a player, hes a really chill guy on the dorky side.

    Maybe initiating the conversation is difficult for him cos he'd feel self conscious. Or he could just have a really busy life. I don't know.

    Perhaps you could suggest that the two of you meet at a pub on the weekend. Buy him a pint, and ask if he would like to come over to your flat for a back rub.

        I'm 19, hes 18. We met in a volunteer program during a weekend. We talked and exchanged numbers.

          I'd just leave it. From what you've said it sounds like he's interested and will text you again of his own accord, you just have to give it time. If he doesn't bother then fuck him, he obviously wasn't that interested anyway. Plenty more fish in the sea.

    There's nothing at all weird about any of that. How do you know he's not a "player" after less than 2 weeks? Get real! Apparently he has a life of his own and you should have one too that doesn't rely on online "friendships"
