Im a guy with a family who lives in The suburbs of Los angeles. I have a job with excellent pay, and the area is nice. The neighbors have a son, whos 17. Hes allways littering on my lawn and never uses a trash can. Hes allways hitting on my 14 year old daughter too. Yesterday was the last straw, when he and his friends spray painted over my trash cans out front. I came out side and punched the bastard in the mouth, and called him all types of names. Its been a day and i dont think hes even told his parents. My daughter says i over-reacted but i think i did the right thing.

    I'm not mad at you, but I am concerned that that punk ass bitch might have you arrested for assault. To be completely honest I find it refreshing to hear about a father who doesn't want some common trash sniffing around his daughter. People are far too tolerant of douchebags these days!

    I don't think you punching him is really a big deal he's old enough and was basically asking for and expecting some type of reaction.

    I wish you luck in the legal side of things. It might not go anywhere and this will be the end. Or maybe his parents are sick of him too and will empathize with you.

    You taught that punk a lesson....you taught him that it is okay to let your emotions get the best of you and its okay to deal with problems with violence. Yay you! You may have a pending assault on a minor case coming your way pretty soon too. What you did solved nothing in the long run and I bet he is going to be fucking your daughter behind your back soon.

    Hopefully he's just a degenerate with nothing better to do with his time . I wouldn't have been vandalising peoples property as a teen but if an adult would have punched me in the mouth at 17 , i definitely would have shanked him a handful of times . I would be careful around him if it seems like he want's revenge ( possibly why he didn't alert anyone )

    You shouldn't hit adolescents but a prominantly displayed 12-Guage in the front window would be acceptable. May solve the problem. I'd be cleaning that sucker on the front porch.

    You probably shouldn't have punched him in the face, though damn it must have been tempting you for a long time, hopefully nothing happens to you in terms of getting sued etc, I doubt the little punk is connected to any gangs, maybe just sit down with your daughter and educate her and what a shit that guy is and hope she had good brains and standards to avoid scum like that who most likely want a girlfriend for one reason.... little shit punk, I have to ask, did it feel good man???? do you have a good relationship with your daughter, I hope so, you just never know what some may do to spite their father, e.g. let that dude you know what, I mean this in a nice way, not trying to make you worry, hope i haven't... would be nice to get a reply from you, you strike me as a good honest dude...

        Your freaking out over maybe a four year difference? You do realize maybe not in this case but girls mature faster than boys and having a guy older than you is pretty normal my wife and I are Five years apart and before anyone says anything yes I have children.

          Nonsense. The only way girls "mature faster" is because they hit puberty faster. Plus the guy sounds like an asshole, not the sort of person a fourteen year old should risk dating. He could very well take her down a bad path in life.
