I think that hair pulling is a completely normal reaction to stress. This doesn't mean it's a good thing. It's probably an indicator that you're internalizing some problem or stress. It's really easy to make a habit of it, and the more you do it, the harder it is to stop. If you can't stop pulling out your hair, try to find out what's causing you to do it.
