I have been dumped both ways and I can honestly say that I much rather be dumped in person. This is especially true if you have been going out for a while. Separating or breaking up should be as all other things in a relationship, even though you are ending it, personal and between you and you significant other. Breaking up over text messages or facebook or anyother networking site you belong to is a way for you to be able to do something with out feeling guilty. It is much easier for you to say something through text emails because of the separation of reactions or emotions. You can use body language when face to face to show how you feel but not through text. Being too scared to confront someone who you should be able to share anything with is pretty pathetic and shows that you have no spine. And in today's day and age I believe that texting and online messaging is making the world full of pussies and whimps. Basically what I am saying is if your going to break up with someone at least have the courtesy and the "balls" to say it in person.
I prefer getting dumped over a text message than in person
