Losing any more that 2 pounds a week is very unhealthy. Why not make that into a monthly goal? Or, even better, just plan to eat less and excercise more and not really worry about exact measurement.
IF you managed to succed at your 7 lb/week goal I can gatuntee you'll gain it all back. Research shows that loosing 1-2 pounds a week is reasonable and maintainable. Don't be dumb and try to loose so much in a week, you'll only hurt yourself and regret it when the weight comes back on.

You're trying to lose too much, too fast. This diet/excercise plan cannot work and here's why:
Every pound you lose is 3500 calories. So that means if you cut out intake of 3500 calories a day or work it off in the gym, you'll lose 1 pound. The average American eats 2000 calories a day. But what you are trying to do is lose a pound a day, so you'd have to either eat nothing and work off 3500 calories (which WILL kill you) or eat the 2000 calories then work off 5500 calories which isn't possible (you'd be too tired after burning 1000 calories if you haven't done that much excercise before).
Start with a more modest goal, 2 pounds a week (which is still a lot), and do the diet and excercise and see how it goes. This way you're only working off 1000 calories a day, which is more achievable. If that works try burning more calories for more weight loss.
And remember, losing weight is tough and keeping it off us tougher. It's worth it, but it won't totally change you life.

The only way I would say this may be feasible would be if you were very obese, but since you are average weight, this would be very unhealthy. And if u are average weight, why would u want to lose more than 5-10 lb anyway?

Ever heard of the HCG diet? It takes 3 weeks and you eat only 500 calories a day. And you can last through it because you fat load for 3 days before. Very very possible.
I wish I could lose 7 pounds per week. I'm 5'7" and weight about 135. I wanna be 120 or less sooooo badly!!!!!!
You won't gain it back unless you go on crazy binges. If you have any self control it is managable and maintainable. 7 lbs is unrealistic though. I tried before..., and I was only reaching a maximum of 4 lbs a week. If ur avg weight ur body won't react the same in starvation mode like an overweight persons would. Say you cut down to only consuming 1000 calories a day.. And an overweight person does the same. After a week they will have lost more because they require more calories than you to maintain their weight. As they begin losing they'll require less to maintain and then their weight loss will decrease to fewer lbs a week. So ur goal is realistic for a heavy person but not for you.
