k. my dad's a therapist and I asked him and he said 1) ask youself why you do it each time
2)try to find somone yuo trust and tell them and DON'T get angry at them if they tell a professional because you have to realize they are trying to help.
3)Try to stop. Soon if possible. This is not good for you.
If you can find a alternate way to release the pain do it as long as you arn't hurting yourself.
4)Try to get up the courage to ask for help.
