I no longer have the patience for watching long movies

Back in high school I could bear to watch those three hour-ish movies to the end without complaint. For example, The Harry Potter movies, Lord Of The Rings (1, 2 through 3), The Count Of Monte Christo, to mention but a few. I rearly watch series.. I've been that way ever since the series craze started. I prefer to watch a movie, finish it and then do something different after, like work, do chores around the house, or take a walk... But lately I've realized I struggle to finish those three hour long movies. I become impatient at some point and stop the movie. I mean, can you believe I've failed to finish watching THE IRISHMAN? Not that it's not an interesting movie, but the duration, that's my issue.

Same. I don’t like sitting in one place for hours.

I'm the same way. I just cannot sit still for that long. I need to be doing something. If the movie is interesting, it's much easier, but there are a lot of movies that don't capture my interest.

I also have a habit of falling asleep during movies.

Watching movies in the theater is a different experience for some reason and I do fine. I guess because there's less distractions. If it's too boring, I fall asleep, though.

Yeah I felt like that when my friend made me watch Hamilton. Now it’s a good musical and the music is catchy. But holy moly it was long. I wanted to just shut her computer off and sleep. But she was so into it and I was just pretending to be too because she was so excited to show me.

And recently on Netflix I was watching Alone in Berlin, I couldn’t even make it half way. Lost patience and got bored. And then I tried Kissing Booth, I had only 15 minutes left of the film until I paused and shut it off.

Patience ain’t our friend anymore and it kinda sucks when you want to finish something. Maybe we just get jaded too fast?

    • When I start checking out the duration left on the movie's playtime progress bar, you know I'm beginning to run out of patience.

scorseses latest movie came out last year

in the style of goodfellas it described the people around jimmy hoffa and the events of his rise & fall

they tried to use cgi to age down deniro and pesci but theyre both elderly at this point and move like it so it looked like they got aged down from 140 to 75

it was 3 hours and pretty good but id still say goodfellas & the depahted were better and more to the point
