I need advice hockey players

I've only been playing ice hockey for about a month but I want to get better quickly. I feel really awkward going to practice because I can't skate or stick-handle as well as everyone else. I'm sick of standing out and I want to start being able to play. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Also if you just want to banter about this year's hockey season in the comments be my guest. I'd love to join in.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Good. Figure skating will help with your movement and confidence on the ice. Similar to dancing for football players.

First of all, don’t listen to nikki. She’s a mouth breather and a duster on the ice.

Start doing more drills, like moving the puck through cones. For speed, start weight training. You want to focus on glutes, calves and quads to get that burst of power after face off.

    Good luck!
