If you really believe it is in your best interest to take him back...do it...but you will only be trying to feed an unfillable void.
I still say you should just try and forget about him.
If you want another alternative... create a new online persona and find that person... flirt with him and see how quickly an online person can "get over" you. it will probably destroy you inside.
