I'm very, very skinny

I am super skinny and I can't eat normally, that is, I eat very little and I can not eat enough, so I'm afraid of being skinny like that forever

Divalproex is a mood stabilizer(used for manic phases of bipolar disorder), an anticonvulsant(used to treat seizures), a migraine preventative. It also causes appetite increase and weight gain.

Your appetite decreases as you eat less, and increases as you eat more. If you push yourself to eat more then you will start to get hungrier. You have to really want to do it though.

Actually not the long term. Usually within 24-48 hours. 3 days tops.

Uhhh no. Last I checked, if I start eating less for a few hours, my appatite will increase to the point of searing pain! But over the course of several months of eating less than I otherwise would, my matabolism would slow down and my BMR would lower to the point where my appetite will be less than it otherwise would be. And vice versa. This is how its has worked with me as long as I've been monitoring my food intake and every client I've worked with so far who wanted to gain or lose weight! Its this thing called metabolic adaptation. Would you like me to link some sources or explain in more detail?

No I don't want links. I'm not in the mood for psuedo intellectual nonsense accompanied by a not so subtle attempted argument from authority.

What about my explanation then? Does that suffice? Do you get less hungry by dinner time if you skip lunch or more hungry? I shouldn't need links to prove I'm right, you can expirience this easily for yourself.

  • You have to take in more calories than burned to be able to gain, I think? So have you tried something like protein shakes to try and gain?

I have a high metabolism so I’ve always stayed a pretty skinny size without much luck on changing that. I swear my stomach is small or some shit cause I get full super easy on not much food. Is that kinda what you’re meaning by not eating enough? Either way seeing a doctor wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Have you told your physician about this?
