I'm telling my friends i'm bulimic. but i'm not.

i have tried to make myself throw up. it hasn't happened. i want to because i do believe i'm fat. but the fact that i haven't and told my friends i have kind of bothers me a bit.

Umm, people with Mia don't ACTUALLY want it! It is a medical condition, and people who purposefully try do develop an ED need to get a life. Ana and Mia are not glamorous, they are seriously bad for you and leads to hair loss, weak bones, bad skin, bad teeth, fertility problems... So no... It's not normal to pretend or try to give yourself and ED...so, please, grow up?

Throwing up only makes you fatter. Causes nutritional deficiency. If you eat stuff that's high in nutritional value, your metabolism will kick in and use the nutrients instead of storing everything you eat in your fat cells. Before you eat anything in the morning, drink a tall glass of water. Then, an example of a good breakfast might be: 2 scrambled eggs, and half a nectarine. Or to get fiber in, some oatmeal. Oats are a good food to fight depression, as well as unprocessed cocoa powder.

It sounds like you think being bulemic is cool & going to make you popular or something. If thats the case, I feelsorry for you. Plus sounds like you just want attention. Nobody likes attention whores, or liars.

find an exercise that you like and can do. and then do more of it when you can. it might help if it is of a social nature. try eating healthy foods. eventually you will crave salads instead of fried foods and candy. drink more water. drink tea instead of sodas. chances are you look just fine and just have self-esteem issues. you shouldn't lie to your friends though, especially about something like that. most people that have anorexia bullemia are ashamed of it, so your friend probably think you are full of shit, either that or they don't know better because maybe they've never had a friend with a real problem. in fact, you are kind of ruining them because when they find out that you're lying, they'll be less sympathetic in the future when someone comes to them with a real problem. maybe you should make yourself puke.

Bulimia usually stem's from other issue's like eating disorsers, food and weight is hos people cope with it to gain back control, this dosent seem like an eating disorder. Mainly because. When someone has one thwy develop tricks to hide it and are really secretive about it, they dont go telling people? I dont mwan this to offend you but it sounds like attention seeking.

A lot of young women, including myself at one point, feel they have to do something this drastic to lose weight. At the end of the day it's a daft idea and your best course of action is to eat a little healthier and get a gym membership. Also, lying to friends is never a great way to go. If you want their support just ask for it, don't create a problem to get their attention.

If you have told your friends and they havn't done anything about it they are not your true friends. Don't actually start throwing up...also it is proven that men prefer to go out with curvy women and even though women do like skinny or muscely men they would actually prefer someone who had a little extra wieght so they could cuddle them more instead of having big hard muscels...

Besides being gross and stupid (and it doesn't really help you lose weight) bulimia makes your cheeks puffy, which also makes you unattractive

well having the thoughts of bulimia and attempting to act upon them is still bad. telling your friends and them not doing anything means you have some bad friends. use conventional methods to lose weight if you believe your gross. try running, swimming, "healthy dieting". and the most important the not throwing up diet.
    cheers!

I agree with the above poster, and I'd like to add that bulimia doesn't make you thin (look it up) and if you want to be thinner, just eat healthy, fewer calories, and be active. It's not that bad!

You can seriously injure yourself by doing that.

You should find someone to talk to.

Our society fosters self-hatred, but you must learn to recognize your own self worth.
