I'm strangely possessive?

I've started to notice that, sometimes, I get strangely possessive of guys I don't even really know.
Like, for example, I'm in a writing club that's mostly girls, but a guy has started to show up and I try to be the one he talks to the most.
I guess it's because I've liked guys before, but all had already had girlfriends, so I want to "establish my dominance"?

Next time, try to possess the guy's body like a ghost to gain complete control of his body as a mean to show your next level of dominance. Boo.

Maybe you're just comforting yourself by making sure you are the one he picks so you feel desirable

... but if he doesn't pick her she should get over it.

Perhaps you're a ghost, look in the mirror for signs.

Do you perhaps like the guy? or is this just an example and you do this all the time. no big deal, I would say.

Sounds like the usual female competitive behavior I've seen women in my workplace do.

You eat up the attention, whether you want him or not. You just want to be wanted. My gf is an absolute beauty, guys just go to her when we're out, and, since we don't get out much due to her health issues, I know she eats it up when guys try to chat with her over nothing. A simple "Can I get the ketchup?" at a bar becomes she or the guy flirting, often with her saying "Five dollars, please..Or more", drawing him into conversation or the other way around. I know she won't take it further, and I will and have intervened, but, bottom line is..She loves the attention, mostly b/c she's not out in public much unless with me.

If he's got a girlfriend you should leave him tha fuck alone. If he's got a girlfriend, ie is married you're not establishing dominance, but showing people that you're a skank-ho. If he's not interested in anything, but a platonic friendship with you, but is interested in someone else you should get over it!

I think OP is saying he's the first single guy she found that she likes. Though her approach seems rather predetory.

Hint: you're going to lose this guy real fast. Being dominated by another person doesn't feel good. He will quickly see that you see him as your property, and expect him to comply with your expectations to achieve your goals. In fact, your attitude is a terrible attitude to have. GET READY TO GET DUMPED.

    • By "establish my dominance," I didn't mean the guy, I meant trying to be better than the other girls

Better, but still counter-productive. You've got to focus on his heart. Make him feel good. Be perceptive to identify his values. Become comfortable in your skin; that's the root of the kind of karma you need here.

I see your point. There's nothing like fucking a guy's brains out.
